My hat is well and truly off to the bloggers who can successfully create a pretty flat lay because GOD these photographs took a lot of sweat, blood and tears I swear. Who knew something that looks so easy could be so bloody difficult?! Anyway, I thought I'd put together some of my favourite affordable beauty bits I've been loving lately. I don't know about you, but I love finding a good ol' beauty bargain from the comfort of my own home rather than swatching for hours on end in Boots. I have built up quite the obsession with a few of these products so excuse me if this post turns very rambly, don't tell me I didn't warn you!
The first thing I want to share with you is the Lee Stafford Coco Loco Hair Mist, because this stuff is amazing. For someone who hasn't got any jolly holidays planned yet, I can spray this stuff to my little hearts content and instantly feel like I've been zapped somewhere tropical, the coconut scent is insane. As well as smelling like the Bahamas, it does a pretty good job at protecting your hair. Post blow-dry, my hair feels super smooth and glossy. Go out and have a cheeky spray and sniff, I dare you.
Up next are a brand I'd never heard of until I finished my internship and this little Buxom gloss was in my goody bag. After loving this gloss so much, I did a little stalk and found that they're actually stocked in Debenhams and they're so affordable. The lip product in question is the Full On Lip Polish in Leslie. It reminds me of my younger Avon makeup days because it has that familiar tingling sensation that makes your lips numb, which I love! That and this shade has a pretty sparkle to it, so it's perfect for minimal makeup days.
Next, two products that are a match made in heaven. If anyone knows me, I rarely EVER wear eyelashes. I don't think I have the best eye shape for them and honestly, I'm absolutely god awful at applying them no matter how hard I try. But Kiss Products have managed to create a lash that actually looks half decent on me, amen. These lashes in particular, the Blooming Lash in Peony* are so natural and I love them enough to actually take my first ever selfie wearing false lashes, who'd've thought eh!
A lovely lash teamed with a pretty pink blush is my go-to look this summer. That's why I've been obsessed with the L'Oreal Blush Paint in Pinkabilly. I've always been the type of gal to steer away from cream blushes for some reason, but after giving this a go I'm a bit of a convert. It's such a bright, summery shade of pink and blends so effortlessly.
I've always been a huge fan of Maybelline's Lash Sensational, so I was quite sceptical when it came to trying out the new Collosal Big Shot, but I'm so glad I gave it a go. Even though the brush is literally humongous, it creates really long lasting curls. I actually prefer this formula over Lash Sensational because I find that mascara sometimes leaves black marks under my eyes, whereas I've had no problems like that with this one!
Last but definitely not least, I was sent some products to try from Anatomicals a couple of months back. I've been testing them out since and found that these two are my favourites. The Hawaii Five-Glow Scrub* has been a lifesaver in this heat. I just hate the feeling of suncream on my face in hot weather, so I've been looking forward to the evening when I can give my face a good hard scrub with this, smells divine too.
Another life saving product in this heat is the Anatomical Never Lose Your Cherry Lip Balm*... can we just appreciate that title for a sec? Even if the Anatomicals products weren't amazing, I think their funny puns would still have me head over heels! This cherry balm smells so yummy and more importantly has SPF15, so you don't have to worry about your peckers getting burnt in this heat! Although, the taste isn't that great - for £2.50 I can suffice!
Have you got any affordable beauty reccomendations? I'd love to hear them! Thanks for reading x
